A new FOLK record by Minneapolis songwriter, Brian Just, titled
"Countryside" is being celebrated on October 24th, 2025 from 7-9pm at Music Lab in South Minneapolis. The new album will debut at this event with a limited first pressing of 100 copies on 180g vinyl. It will also be released on CD and all digital platforms that same day. About the album: Take a trip to the countryside through the lens of Brian Just's unique blend of psych-pop daydreams, for his 5th full length record he weaves intricate chamber ballads, meditations on the stillness of the natural world, white-throated sparrow bossa novas, broken branches from the tree of life, Pacific Ocean meditations and rhythmic rusty swing sets. It's trippy and weird, filled with love songs, it explores landscapes, seascapes and escape. It reflects on fatherhood, failures and hopefulness. Brighter than dark, it's sentimental and silly.
